Dr Claire Greenland

Biography
Claire is originally from Essex and obtained her MPhys in Physics at the University of Exeter in 2015. She completed her PhD in EPMM in 2020. Her PhD mainly involved studying the relationship between temperature and optical and structural properties in hybrid perovskites. During her PhD she also designed and built a time-resolved photoluminescence imaging system for the characterisation of perovskite thin films.
She now works as a University Teacher in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, coordinating the second year laboratory and lecturing for a first year module. She elected to remain as an honorary member of EPMM as she loved being in the group and met friends for life there. When she's not at work, she enjoys cooking, reading fiction and drinking beer.
